yes, like chimay. The way most belgian ales are stored. with a cork in big bottles.

as long as you can cap them securely so no air gets in the bottles you are fine. what kind of bottles are you thinking...like Chimay or what?

Can you use a champagne style beer bottles?
dcasuto (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
yes, you add it to the brew directly after it has finished fermenting and you are ready to bottle. shake it around for about one minute and then you're ready to bottle.no, do not use plastic or use screw top bottles. always use glass and pop off bottles. get yourself a bottler from a brewing place and start collecting bottles (not screw tops though).

Thanks for the video. I have a couple questions. When you add the corn sugar to carbonate the brew that has been fermenting for six days or so, do you pour it right in with the brew? It looks like you poured it into another empty bucket in the video. You mentioned a "carboy." What's that? Can I use plastic bottles with screw tops? Like soda bottles? I don't care about the aesthetics of bottles because I like beer from a glass.
