Great Video, I will be using this method with the batch im getting ready to finish. After the initial 3 days of forced carb, do you leave the co2 still connected to the keg at a lower PSI or is it cool to unhook it? Thanks,

must be satisfying as hell to drink your own beer. thanks for mentioning specific temperatures and stuff, most other videos dont.

No. I could never live without the auto siphon. I got a kit that came with a normal one and I soon upgraded. It was worth every penny (~$10) It starts the siphon with almost no effort. No excess contamination etc. The auto siphon is where its at.

I would start with a kit then modify it to your personal taste. As long as you keep everything clean and sanitized and follow the instructions you will get good beer out of a kit.

I know its a whirlpool. I dont know the model as I dont know where I would find it written. I bought it at Lowes about 3 years ago and I just checked their web site and I dont see it. It has a reversible door which I turned upside-down so that the bottom lip(which hit the keg) was on the top.

If someone wants to try your beer you can pour them a small sample without opening a whole beer. You can do natural carb with kegging but you still need C02 to push the beer out of the keg. It takes 2 weeks to natural carb vs 2-3 days to force carb. its just quicker and easier. |
