Mark needs to have a couple of his homebrewed IPAs before recording so he can loosen up a little bit. Also these videos should be numbered or something; I don't know which to watch next.

Your primary still had krausen on top which means it was still fermenting. It's not a good idea to transfer at this stage. Other than that, good info for beginners.

I don't know I've been using mouth suction for a while now with no problems if your worried about it just take a shot of whiskey first

One modification, exit the water in your line into a small pitcher and reclose it, then continue filling into your fermenter - unless you want tap water in your fermenting beer. Racking hose clamps are real handy for this.
