Yes, and it was so flimsy I didn't even want to try anything... and I'm a skinny girl, and yes, it was screwed into a joist. I am returning it and buying a more professional pole. I don't feel like risking my life on a $120 pole...

I got mine today...i haven't been able to do tricks because well i dont know how. But I have been able to jump on it with all my weight. I believe if you lean it will knock down but doing tricks like going upside down with all ya weight is cool cause I attempted that and it didnt move. But I am gonna secure it. I dont plan on making it a career so this will do just fine for fitness.XOXO,Hood Barbie

well...i got this pole 4 my b-day and at first it was all moving around and shit....then i had it screwed into the ceiling and it hold alot better...im 130 and it holds me...my home girl is like 165 and she was flipping all around once it was screwed in with big screws...

Lil' Mynx poles. They run about 150-200 dollars and are so easy to install. They are portable. You can look on Ebay for them for cheaper. You're welcome babe :)
