Generally you want to wait 5 to 7 days before transferring the beer from the primary to the secondary carboy. You also want to watch the CO2 output. It should be very little or nonexistent when you transfer to the secondary carboy.

That is a counterflow wort chiller, not an immersion wort chiller. I'm sure you know that but for someone who is just starting, that might be confusing to them when they try to submerge their counterflow chiller in their wort. Pretty good video otherwise. |
